Hallo ihr treuen Leser.
Wir sind gesund und munter vor einer Woche in Thailand gelandet. Unsere erste Anlaufstelle war dort das Hotel Kokosnuss in Kamal Beach, Phuket. Nach einer Taxifahrt vom Flughafen nach Kamala Beach konnten wir gegen 23 Uhr ins Hotel einchecken. Besitzer ist ein Deutscher, der das Hotel eigentlich derzeit gar nicht geoeffnet hat, da es erstens gerade im Umbau ist und zweitens totale Nebensaison ist. Deshalb war auch in Phuket wirklich rein gar nichts los. Nichtmal ein schoener Strand, was wir aber mal auf die permanente Wolkendecke schieben. Aber welcher Strand wirkt bei einer geschlossenen Wolkendecke schon schoen? Selbst Nachts war vom beruehmt beruechtigtem Nachtleben Thailands nichts zu spuehren.
Folge: Sonntag Nachmittag haben wir Phuket Richtung Bangkok verlassen. Und zwar per Bus. Guenstiger als fliegen und abgesehen von der Fahrtdauer (12 Stunden) in allen Belangen besser. Der Bus war allerdings kein Erste Klasse Bus, es war ein VIP Bus. Also noch eine Ecke besser als Erste Klasse. In Bangkok angekommen wurden wir von Lutz, Mirkos Onkel, am Flughafen abgeholt. Durch ihn haben wir dann auch eine Unterkunft gefunden, die alle bisherigen Unterkuenfte unseres letzten Jahres uebertrifft. Ein Appartement. Richtig, ein Appartement. Eine eigene Wohnung. Stube, Bad, Schlafzimmer, Balkon. Klimaanlage, Fernseher, noch eine Klimaanlage. Und das ganze fuer ein Appel und ein Ei.
Und das ist nicht das einzige, was Bangkok bislang ins positive Licht rueckt. Hier ist naemlich auch im Gegensatz zu Phuket was los. Tagsueber als auch Nachts. Man lernt die thailaendische Kultur gut kennen und kommt nicht selten aus dem Staunen nicht mehr raus.
Das Verkehrsverhalten ist milde gesagt katastrophal. Jeder faehrt wie er will und mittendurch die ganzen Mopeds mit bis zu vier Leuten drauf. Dazu konsequentes Ignorieren der Zebrastreifen und gelegentliches Fahren auf der Gegenspur. Da wird jede Taxifahrt zum Erlebnis.
Mindestens genauso auffaellig ist das Essen. Gut und guenstig trifft es hier wohl am besten. Die thailaendische Esskultur ist extrem vielfaeltig und gut gewuerzt. Man probiert viel und stellt dann fest, dass nahezu alles richtig, richtig gut schmeckt. Zum Beispiel gegrillte Heuschrecken. Oder Maden. Oder Larven. Oder oder oder...
Wenn man mal nicht im Restaurant oder an einem Strassenstand isst, dann kann man gut auf Maerkten einkaufen, da dort frische Nahrung zu unschlagbaren Preisen angeboten wird.
Tja, viele Eindruecke, die man gar nicht alle auf einmal auffassen, geschweige denn wiedergeben kann. Deswegen entschuldigt, wenn wir hier das eine oder andere vergessen.
Am besten schaut euch die Bilder an und macht euch selbst ein kleines Bild von Thailand.
Fuer uns heisst es jetzt uebrigens schon fast wieder Abschied nehmen, denn Uebermorgen, am Sonntag, 11.10 Uhr startet unser Flug von Bangkok nach Berlin. Nach ungefaehr 11 oder 12 Stunden Flug landen wir dann nach mehr als 11 Monaten wieder auf deutschem Boden und freuen uns schon jetzt auf das Wiedersehen der "alten" Gesichter. Wir haben viel zu erzaehlen und auch viel zu zeigen, aber gebt uns ein bisschen Zeit um unsere Gedanken zu sammeln.
Nochmal Danke fuer alle die sich den Blog bis zum Schluss angetan haben und uns so auch immer wieder motiviert haben, den Blog fortzufuehren. Wir hoffen ihr habt die letzten 11 Monate gut ueberstanden und habt uns eventuell auch das eine oder andere zu berichten, wenn wir wieder da sind.

War wirklich schön, Euch auf diese Weise fast ein Jahr zu begleiten und das über Weltmeere hinweg. Die Bilder gehen leider nicht zu betrachten, zumindest auf unserem PC nicht. Aber die können wir uns ja auch vielleicht bald zusammen anschauen, wenn Ihr wieder in heimatlichen Gefilden weilt. Bis dahin noch schöne Stunden mit Lutz in Bangkok und vor allem einen angenehmen Flug.
